Background & Introduction
Amnesty International Canada Section English-Speaking (AICSES) is part of the global Amnesty International movement, dedicated to the protection and promotion of human rights both within Canada and around the world. As an organization steadfast in its mission, AICSES engages in rigorous research, advocacy, activism and public education to address a spectrum of human rights issues. These include, but are not limited to, the protection of prisoners of conscience, the abolition of the death penalty, climate justice, racial justice, safeguarding the rights of refugees and Indigenous peoples, and fighting gender-based violence. Our work is grounded in the principle of impartiality; we do not accept government or political organization funding for our campaigns to maintain our independence and ensure the objectivity of our human rights work. AICSES currently supports over 40 staff in a unionized and non-unionized environment.
AICSES is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to support our organization in achieving a comprehensive digital transformation that aligns with our strategic goals The goal of this project is to enhance our digital capabilities, streamline processes, and better serve and engage with our donors, members and all stakeholders across our movement through innovative technological solutions,
Project Overview
The selected Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution of our digital transformation project, including the assessment of current systems, recommendation of new technologies, and management of the implementation process. This transformation will include upgrading our digital infrastructure, automating processes, enhancing data analytics, and improving stakeholder engagement through technology.
We aim to engage a partner who not only exhibits a strong track record in leading digital evolution but also possess a profound understanding of the unique challenges faced by non-governmental organizations. A commitment to anti-racism and anti-oppression and the promotion of equitable work environments is paramount to our work.
Scope of Work
The Digital Transformation Project Manager will:
• Assess the Current Digital Landscape: Conduct a thorough analysis of existing assessments, systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement.
• Develop a Comprehensive Digital Strategy: Work with internal teams to design a technology roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
• Implementation & Training: Oversee the integration of new tools and technologies, providing training and support to staff.
• Project Timeline Management: Establish project milestones, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring project goals are met within budget and deadlines.
• Change Management: Lead efforts to ensure a smooth transition for all stakeholders, with a focus on adoption and minimizing disruption.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish KPIs and performance metrics to track the success of the transformation.
Deliverables:
• Comprehensive assessment report of the current state.
• Strategic roadmap for digital transformation.
• Detailed implementation plan with timelines and milestones.
• Change management strategy.
• Implementation of new systems and applications
• Defined KPIs and measurement framework for transformation success.
Proposal Submission Requirements
Proposals should include the following:
• Executive Summary: Brief overview of your proposed approach to digital transformation for our organization.
• Experience and Qualifications: Description of relevant experience, case studies, and client references.
• Proposed Approach: Outline of the approach to managing the digital transformation process, including key steps and methodologies.
• Timeline: Estimated project schedule with key milestones.
• Budget Estimate: Provide a detailed budget for the project, including fees and anticipated costs.
• References: Contact information for at least three professional references.

Proposals will be evaluated based on:
• Relevant experience and qualifications.
• Understanding of our organizational needs and approach to digital transformation.
• Alignment with budget and timeline expectations.
• Quality of references.
